Breakfast on Holi with Nene sir....

On the 11th of March, I had this long awaited opportunity to savour an early morning beakfast with Nene sir.Nene sir teaches yoga- only ,we get to learn much more from him than just yoga!At 74 years, his life has ben an amazing journey...from being born in Kamayu in Burma(Myanmar)in 1935 to travelling to India as an evacuee during WW II-by simply walking his way continuously for 42 days ...through murky forests ,roars of wild beasts and rain of rain of shellfire only competing with Malaria, typhoid and perhaps some other local hazards....He reached Kalyan and therefter settled in Pune .Here began a new chapter - education, a job in Mumbai at BARC,matrimony (Maya Nene-who retired as Principal from a middle school at Sion,Mumbai in 1997), two sons and finally settled in Pune. He pursued a parallel life with Yoga since his working days-1978 onwards till date -learning new skills, honing them with practice and disseminating this knowldge through his disciplined yet dynamic classes.Though he mainly follows the yogic pracices of The Bihar School of yoga,Munger,he did not hesitate to embrace the "Tibetan Rites" as a part of his yogic practices . An open mind and to accept whatever is beneficial and balance whatever knowledge is available is what marks his teaching style."Enough for now, says Sir.." so till next time...Perhaps we shall begin with "Yoga for Dummies...?"!Check out more info at his newly opened blog www.myexperiences-sharad@blogspot.com

A shy sunset....

Driving in a tearing hurry ...and feeling cross with the glint of the fading sunlight coming right through the glass,I turned aside and my frown was met with this amazingly endearing 'bye-bye for now'sunset....watch it, to experience what need not be put into mere words...

One weekend,I just strolled into a flower exhibition and gladly let all my senses be assailed by whatever came my way!The pleasure of vibrant colours, wonderful hues,inviting....tantalizing fragrances and most importantly the 'give my all'feel that emanated from the lovingly cultivated and cleverly displayed blooms drew a blissful smile from me ...and since pleasure merely multiplies when shared...lets begin ..;)
